Welcome! សូមស្វាគមន៍!
Countryside Class is a community organization inside Battambang Province, Cambodia, dedicated to developing Cambodia's future through educating and inspiring today's children. Our mission is to teach positive attitudes and values to children through teaching, reading, and community bonds, so that all Cambodian children will be educated and have good character and be able to lead their country and people forward to development.

We finished up our 4 nights of performances at Kampongseyma Pagoda for Khmer New Year with great success. The community attendance averaged between 200-300 guests, but the greatest success was the collaboration we're beginning to achieve with other groups in Battambang.

Around 20 of Phare Ponleu Selpak's students joined with us in our performance and have developed close relationships with our own students. Last night, many of our students ventured into Battambang City to support Phare Ponleu Selpak's students and watch their circus show. The organization's head teacher also came to the last night of the performance and will soon be meeting with Sambon Meas of Countryside Class to discuss ways of working together. We're excited for the potential opportunities our students will gain to develop a wider variety of skills by joining with Phare Ponleu Selpak.

Sambon Meas has already met with World Vision, and World Vision has graciously allowed our students to join with their youth club in our community, and we will continue to work together in future projects. The show couldn't have happened without their support.

Furthermore, during the process of the preparing the show, we met with the village chief and have an improved relationship with him which we're hoping to continue to foster. Hopefully we will soon be able work toward achieving our goal of having our school building serve as a community meeting hall and a way to disseminate important information to the community.

We're excited to have these new partners for future endeavors!
