Countryside Class is a community organization inside Battambang Province, Cambodia, dedicated to developing Cambodia's future through educating and inspiring today's children. Our mission is to teach positive attitudes and values to children through teaching, reading, and community bonds, so that all Cambodian children will be educated and have good character and be able to lead their country and people forward to development.

Meet Our New Volunteer

Mike W. is a current Peace Corps volunteer from California who has been living and working in Battambang Province for almost a year. On June 3, he expanded his assignment by beginning to teach at Countryside Class.


Mike teaches with us 5 hours per week, Monday - Friday from 5-6 pm. He teaches alongside Sambon both for Khmer translation and to demonstrate new teaching styles, methods, and activities for Sambon to learn.


Our kids are loving having him with us!
